~ A Lifetime Friend ~

Your friendship was always a blessing,
What a joy you have been to know;
Through all of our growing up years,
And as we all traveled together down the road.

It's not often one hears of a friendship,
That lasts a lifetime through;
We've all been there for one another,
Even when our gray skies turned to blue.

Tears of sadness from all those you left behind,
But for you what a glorious day;
When He welcomed you through His portal of heaven,
As on earth here we did pray.

In our hearts we know you are happy,
The circle of friendship will one day be;
Complete as it was here on earth,
And we shall certainly see.....

The love we've all had for each other,
Will last forever more;
The circle of friendship we'll have carried,
From earth through Heaven's great door.

You were the first to break the circle,
But we will all follow closely behind;
We're happy the love and the friendship,
Has been of the lasting kind.

We will miss your smiles and your laughter,
Since His angels have escorted you to Him;
We'll carry on without you;
But our memory of you will never dim.

"The Lamb at the center of the throne is Buddy's Shepherd; He has led Buddy to springs of living water. He has wiped every tear from Buddy's eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 7:17 and 21:4 NIV
